College Campuses Take on Flame Retardants: The Healthy Green Campus Project, October 20 at 8:30 a.m. with Robin Dodson and Kathryn Rodgers

College campuses in Boston and Massachusetts can now buy furniture free of harmful flame retardant chemicals thanks to recent changes in furniture flammability standards. On October 20, there will be a presentation and panel discussion on this new policy. Robin Dodson and Kathryn Rodgers of Silent Spring Institute will join others to discuss the Healthy Green Campus project and how universitites can reduce their exposure to potentailly harmful chemicals in dorm builings. Participants will learn about evidence that can be used to support institutional policies that protect public health.
