Nhu-Y Nguyen

Nhu-Y Nguyen joined Silent Spring Institute in February 2024. As Senior Accountant, she happily oversees the accounting and finance functions of the organization.

Nhu-Y started her career in public accounting as an auditor at Ernst & Young in Boston, MA, and then Nardella & Taylor in Lexington, MA. In 2015, she transitioned to nonprofit accounting when she began working at Project Place, a nonprofit organization in Boston that helps homeless, low-income and recently incarcerated individuals find jobs and housing. Nhu-Y was the Director of Accounting & Administration at Project Place prior to joining Silent Spring.

Her experience has taught her how important it is to love what you do. She loves working at nonprofits where she can support meaningful causes. As someone whose family has been touched by cancer, Silent Spring’s mission especially resonates with her – she wants to raise her son in a world that is safe from toxic chemicals.

Nhu-Y holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Boston University, with a concentration in Accounting and a minor in French Language and Literature.
